What's new in Printcore

If you tried Printcore earlier this year, you were looking at an early version. Since then we have shipped more than 1,100 updates, most of them driven by what trial shops told us was missing or clumsy. The first three items below are new in October.

The big changes

Eleven things that work differently now

01

Get paid online, deposits included New

Send a pay link with the invoice and your customer pays by card or bank transfer (ACH) through your own Stripe account. The payment posts to QuickBooks Online or Xero by itself and the job shows Paid or Part paid on your board.

Bill a deposit or a progress amount while the job is still in production, invoice only what has shipped on a partial delivery, and Printcore applies the deposit to the right invoice so nobody reconciles by hand. Available on Starter and Pro.

Fees: Printcore charges 1% of each payment, capped at $25 per payment, for card and ACH alike. Stripe's standard processing fees also apply and are paid from your Stripe account.

02

Let the customer choose the quantity New

Quote 250, 500 and 1,000 on the same line, or several copy counts on a booklet, and the customer picks one when they approve. Customers who don't use the portal get a one-click Approve This Quote button right in the email.

Price lists with options (lamination, grommets, rush) now carry their add-ons onto the quote line, with quantity discounts on add-ons where you want them.

03

Proof check that measures instead of guessing New

Artwork attached to a forwarded email is saved with the quote and checked straight away. Printcore measures bleed, safe zone and the effective resolution of every image, including images placed inside PDFs, and checks each file against its own line item, so a 24 x 36 file sent for a 36 x 48 sign is caught before it reaches the printer.

It also flags rollup banners that are missing the extra 3 inches for the stand base.

04

Apparel and promotional products, built in

Connect your S&S Activewear account or your SAGE subscription and search their catalogs from inside Printcore, with current supplier pricing and size runs. Set up your decoration pricing once (DTF, embroidery, screen print, or sent out), and Printcore prices the garment and the decoration together.

It shows a mockup of the logo on the product photo, keeps each customer's approved logo art, and raises a purchase order when decoration goes to a vendor. AI Quote understands these requests too: “24 black polos, left chest logo, 12 each M and L” becomes a priced line. Included on Starter and Pro.

05

Online company stores for your customers Pro

Open a branded store for a customer (a company, a school, a team) stocked with their approved items and logos. Orders bill to the customer's account, or turn on card checkout through Stripe so each person pays for their own.

Orders arrive in Printcore as they happen, shoppers get emails with your branding, and a pop-up store closes itself on its close date and rolls its orders into one job.

Fees: Printcore charges 1% on store orders paid by card, plus Stripe's standard processing fees.

06

Ask Printcore: quote by conversation Pro

A chat assistant inside AI Quote asks the questions you would ask (size, material, sides, finishing, quantity) and builds a priced draft beside the conversation as you go. Type or speak.

It recognizes the customer named in the request, checks their history, uses your saved products first, finds apparel and promo items in your catalog, and hands the finished draft to the normal quote screens. Your customers get their own version in the portal to request several items at once.

07

AI Quote takes requests any way they arrive

Forward the customer's email (Printcore reads scanned PDFs and photos attached to it), upload a file, or use Ask Printcore. On Pro, your shop can have its own quote line: an AI phone assistant answers, walks the caller through the job, and fills the quote during the call.

A request that mixes a banner, a booklet and some cut vinyl lands on one quote. The flow is now two steps (enter the request, then Review & Create), and every calculated line carries an AI suggested price you can apply with one click.

08

Your price list, in minutes

Paste or upload the rate card you already use. Printcore turns it into catalog products and quantity-break pricing, catches common mistakes (like a $89 price for 1,000 business cards being read as $89 each), and lets you review every row before anything is saved. AI Quote then suggests the matching product for each line.

09

Pricing that learns what each customer pays

Connect QuickBooks Online, Xero or another accounting package (on every plan) and your full invoice history comes with it. Printcore uses that history to calibrate your wide-format rates to what you actually charge.

AI price suggestions run in every calculator, learn what each customer pays once they have a few similar jobs, tell you plainly when a suggestion is based on industry averages instead of your own history, and can be undone with one click. Job costing uses your labor rates by role and operator.

10

One quote, start to finish

Every calculator (wide format, digital press, booklet, wrap, cut vinyl, channel letter, apparel) feeds a single quote with one total and one email to the customer, and every quote type now lives in one Quotes list. Ship-to addresses and customer-supplied files travel with every quote.

The list tracks Draft, Sent, Viewed and Approved and flags quotes that need a follow-up, and customers approve quotes and proofs with a one-click branded link that moves the job on your board in real time.

11

Outsourcing, purchase orders and shipping

Mark any line as outsourced, record the vendor and cost, set a fixed sell price if you like, and keep the vendor off the customer's quote. Raise purchase orders from the job.

Bulk Shipping turns a spreadsheet into a batch of labels at the cheapest carrier option, and a multi-box shipment to one address splits the quantity across boxes with a packing slip for each.
