What to do
In the side menu, click Channel Letter Quotes. Click + New Channel Letter Quote in the top-right.
Why it matters
Channel letter pricing has lots of moving parts (illumination, height tier, install, permits). The wizard guides you through each one.
Step 2 of 7Channel Letter Quotes
Step 1 — Customer & Sign
Pick the customer, give the sign a name, and type the actual letter text. The wizard auto-counts letters from your text.

What to do
Sign Name: e.g. "Main Street Storefront". Letter Text: the literal letters that will be made (e.g. RIVERSIDE AUTO). Whitespace is excluded automatically.
Why it matters
You won't forget to count letters or miscount the & sign. The wizard does it from the text itself.
Step 3 of 7Channel Letter Quotes
Step 2 — Letter Specs
Pick illumination type and letter height. Pricing is set in tiers based on height.

Live tier total
What to do
Choose Front-Lit, Halo / Reverse-Lit, Front & Back Lit, or Non-Illuminated. Pick a height tier from the dropdown (e.g. 12" — $160/letter). The total appears immediately: height × per-letter price × letter count.
Why it matters
Height tiers reflect real labor and material differences. The pricing card reads back exactly how it was calculated, so you can sanity-check before quoting.
Step 4 of 7Channel Letter Quotes
Step 3 — Production Source
Decide whether your shop is fabricating the letters in-house or outsourcing to a sign vendor.

What to do
Pick Build In-House to use your tier pricing, or Outsource to Vendor to use the vendor's quote as the cost base.
Why it matters
Most sign shops do a mix. This step keeps both pricing paths in one tool — no separate spreadsheet for outsourced jobs.
Step 5 of 7Channel Letter Quotes
Step 4 — Add-ons
Installation labor, permits, engineering drawings, UL listing, custom line items — all the side-services that come with channel letter jobs.
app.printcore.ai/quotes/channel-letter/new
What to do
Tick the add-ons that apply (Basic Installation, Lift/Boom Rental, Electrical Hookup, Raceway Mount, Pattern Layout, City Permit, Engineered Drawings, UL Listing). Add custom line items for one-off charges.
Why it matters
Forgetting permits or lift rental is the #1 way channel letter quotes lose money. The checklist makes them impossible to skip.
Step 6 of 7Channel Letter Quotes
Step 5 — Review & Save
Final summary with markup, tax, and internal notes. Warnings appear if anything looks off.

Live total
What to do
Verify the total. Adjust the Markup % Override if needed (default comes from your settings). Add Internal Notes for the install team. Click Preview & Send or Save as Draft.
Why it matters
The warning bar (e.g. "No tax rate applied") catches missing data. Internal notes never appear on the customer's quote — perfect for crew handoff details.
